Italian Grinders

1 Lb. Italian Sausage (heat level up to you)
1 Lb. Ground Beef
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
30 oz. pizza sauce
3 loaves French bread
1 Lb. mozzarella cheese

Brown and drain sausage and ground beef. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, red pepper, pizza sauce and allow to simmer for 2 hours. Split bread in half. Lay them open on a large cookie sheet. Top with sauce mixture and cheese. Bake 10-15 minutes. Serve.
This makes a lot and freezes well. You can also make the sauce and place it in a crock pot to simmer.
