This sandwich is one of my family's favorites. I rarely have any leftover.
2 loaves unsliced Italian Bread
1 8oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup mayo
1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 Lb. thinly sliced ham
1 Lb. thinly sliced roast beef
12-14 slices dill pickle
Cut bread in half lengthwise. Hollow out top and bottom of bread to form a "boat". **note**
Combine cheeses, onions, mayo and worcestershire sauce. Spread over cut sides of all 4 pieces of bread.
Layer ham, roast beef and pickle. Use up all the meat. Gently press halves together. Chill in plastic wrap for at least 2 hours. Cut into 1 1/2" slices. Yield 12-14 slices.
**I save the bread for croutons**
